Our LeoHygienists play an important role in your dental health care and are mainly concerned with preventive dental health and treating gum disease. The LeoHygienists will show you the correct home care and help you keep your teeth and gums healthy.
What Will the LeoHygienist do during the appointment?
The aim for our LeoHygienists is to prevent and treat gum disease. During your appointment, your teeth will be professionally cleaned by removing plaque and tartar; this process is also known as scaling and polishing. Using special instruments and pastes, our LeoHygienists can also remove stains.
In addition to the physical element, our LeoHygienists will also show you how to keep your teeth free of plaque. They will advise you on the best brushing techniques as well as how you how to clean between your teeth using floss or ‘interdental’ brushes. Our LeoHygienists work with the team to ensure that the advice and care provided to you is bespoke.
Can I Book Directly with the LeoHygienist?
Yes. Direct Access is available at LeoDental. If you would like Direct Access to your hygienist, please print and sign the attached form below ‘LeoHygienist Direct Access’ which will be required on your appointment.
However, we always advise that you see your LeoDentist regularly to maintain a healthy mouth.
Can the LeoHygienist assist me if I have specific needs?
Our LeoHygienists from an integral part of the LeoDental Team with the aim of preventing and treating gum disease and bad breath.
Individuals who have a bridge, denture, orthodontic treatment or dental implants will have specific hygiene needs which the LeoHygienist will be able to assist you with.
At LeoDental, we are firm believers of prevention is better than cure. For this reason, we recommend that you come in for regular hygiene appointments with our LeoHygienist.
